What do I need to know about it?

Got it today for my birthday (I'm also getting Modern Warfare 2 but it hasn't come yet, but I know how to play it :]).

I've been playing on it for a while. I went into GT mode and I've got to level 4 or 5 (can't remember). But I've never played GT before today...

Is there any tips? Like what the best cars are. Whether I should save up for the best cars or just keep buying slightly better ones. What are the quickest ways to make cash? What races I should do? Any cheats (I won't necessarily use them but it's useful to know)? Any shortcuts in any courses?

Anything that might be useful, tell me, because I'm a complete noob at GT atm.

Brilliant early car to get when you have the cash is a Mercedes SLS. Brilliant car and can win you the gran turismo world championship, like it did me (You also get Bugatti Veyron, for winning that event).

Do the licences first which is what I did, which means you can get some cars. Then do some special events and use the money to invest in better cars and further your levels.
