The statistics module for maths today? (Edexcel - higher tier)

Just wondering because I wanted some reassurance on answers because me and my mates had a heated debate, we're split 50/50 on a few questions and just wanted to know if anyone else did them.

I'm doing Statistics as well, but we're doing our controlled assessment first this week. The exam is in May for me, how did you find the exam?

A total joke. Took me 25 minutes and it's a 1 hour 15 minute exam lmao. I got bored and doodled on my sheet. It's not a controlled assessment though so maybe it's different to yours...idk. We're doing our coursework/controlled assessment next year

That's the state of maths at the moment, 30% overall for a C I've been told, in most other subjects it's about 50%. There's such a dynamic range in ability for maths throughout the country, one of many reasons why some people do maths a year early and do something like Additional Maths as well.

    Edit:
When you think about it, they're saying that a 30% success rate is 'standard' which is pretty pathetic in my opinion. You start getting your calculations in any profession and you've got huge problems and that'd happen 70% of the time with a C...

30%? Seriously...I find maths stupidly easy. I'm taking additional maths (basically 2 maths GCSEs rather than 1) and I find some of the questions offensive - how they're written is just so basic it's like 'are you serious?' lol.

    But wow...30% getting a C...woah.

Deeming a 30% success rate as sufficient is revolting to me.

I know. It just stunned me, when I find maths so easy, that only 3 in 10 people pass it. O.o It is disgusting to think that the Government accept that though.
