Yes I don't like Amy Pond, as a character.
Loved the kojima reference and completely agree with that :L

Also I agree about Amy as a character, along with pretty much everything you said about characters. The material they get is bad, not the actors. The series as you pretty much said, was destroyed by the power of love somehow over powering something physical, like a bomb or a link by electric or w.e it was in the lodger.

Odd given we have potentially the best Doctor just walking around.

I just can't imagine either Tennant or Eccleston going "I wear a fez now. Fezes are cool."

I'll always be looking forward to Who, even if we have a complete idiot at the helm.

...Catherine Tate’s acting chops shine oh so bright in this episode, as we’re treated to a “What if?” reality in which the most interesting things happen. The Doctor dies aboard the space-Titanic thing seen in Voyage of the Damned and we’re treated to seeing just what would happen. It’s a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful piece of acting from Tate and a true show-off of Davies’ writing ability....
I thought he died in the spider's lair thing from drowning? Pfft, call yourself a Doctor Who fan...

    ;p

    Side-note: Personally hated that episode

Rose destroyed series 4, he seemed to just shove her in it for the sake of it.

Yeah but you can't compare as Tennant is far superior at the more serious scenes. I can imagine Eccleston saying it, but it doesn't sound good in my head and Tennant, not at all can I imagine it.

I dunno, I think Eccleston's timelord with a deathwish is better than Tennant's Timelord without Rose. I love both of them, but Eccleston just gets to me more when it comes to the serious scenes.

Rose is just useless in Series 4, shoved in because the fans wanted her back and it retconned the whole of Doomsday. Shame. They killed Ianto in the Torchwood Mini-Series, Children of Earth, and that was a damn good bloody good damn show. There's been shouts from fanboys to bring back Ianto but Davies has learned his lesson and not bringing him back, so to preserve the effect of Children of Earth.

    Third bloggins up later today.

I've read your blog, you seem to hate all the episodes I like lolol.

As for Amy, yeah I've never liked her that much but on rewatch, I've grown a bit more tolerant towards her. Donna is my favourite companion so far and that probably led to a lot of unfair comparing I think.

I think the thing that ruins amy the most is the fact she hits on the doctor when shes married... OK I dont mind the short skirts and anything else ****** clothes wise, but her coming on to the doctor is just god awful. I don't think I will like any form of doctor romance for a while since series 2. I like series 2 when I completely ignore the events of series 4.

Amy for me was always a bit over rated. I find the character rather annoying if I am honest.
However the acting and the plotlines were really good.
