it's basically to reward those that actually buy credits than trade for them. thus making more money for habbo.

Clearly the 'tax' hasn't affected them thus far.

    It makes perfect sense.

No, it is not a scam.

They are a business. All they have ever cared about is the users' money.

& I hate that stupid Tax. Highly Annoying. That's why I don't put furniture into the Mp, anymore. & When you buy Habbo coins Exchange , it's annoying too, Why can't I just buy 1 credit. for 1coin, But no, Has to be buy 1credit for 2coins. Where the hell am I gonna find another 1coin, if I'm already broke gahh.!
I highly doubt it will shut down. The thing is VERY few people left because of the tax, but thousands more people joined.

    ---

The tax makes perfect sense. Users really need to use credits to trade for the majority of the time, especially with the downfall of the HC. People won't stop paying it, so they can easily put the price up.

Look at petrol - people rely on it. The government can keep adding tax to it, and the people can't just boycott it.

It can't be a scam since they tell you in advance that their is a tax on the marketplace (commission) it's a way for habbo to make more money while controlling furniture values since they control the average.

Well then its like a way to get you to buy more credits, you see that now they give you 24 creds than 25 creds, so you need 1 more cred for VIP.

You need to pay 1c commision per marketplacement, and 1c for 5(or)10 entrys to put stuff on market.

And to exchange creds you need to pay credit tax. With all these money making ways for Habbo, its obvious they are scamming us in one way, but its like a sneaky scam to make us buy more.

Habbo are just being smart they are doing this in order to make us spend more money for them to make more profit in certain areas which says that they are pushing for more of a profit margin since at least 100 Habbo's a day will exchange coins putting that mildly since their are 7,337 currently online.

Sounds like a stupid idea whatever this is, but I shouldn't expect anything less from Habbo You own the credits, not Habbo - you bought something with your £10, they just own the Habbo Credits name. What Habbo are doing here is just morally wrong, taxing people to sell their goods that they bought. Habbo isn't a Government, and credits are worth zilch so Christ knows why they have a Tax. Hopefully within a few years the dreadful company will just close for good.

Its funny how many people are online in Habbo, when Habbo UK alone used to have 11,000, and now were merged its not even any different!

It has been around for months. It is perfectly fair - it isn't like they don't tell you of the charges.

(tr) to swindle (someone) by means of a trick
Habbo, nor Sulake, are scamming anyone. If you believe they are, phone the police.

Ah, but the hotels we merged with are in completely different timezone's. I assume I don't have to explain what a timezone is?

I don't know for sure, however I imagine the hotel has more people in it for the majority of the time, than it used to. For example, you used to get about 800 people if you were lucky at 3am GMT - however in America that is about 9PM (I think they are 6 hours behind?) and Australia about 9AM (I think they are about 6 hours ahead?)

It seems to make no sense. Why do they need to tax you for using a service which costs them nothing to manage? Seems unfair when you bought the credits to spend on furniture, not a silly feature that doesn't need it to run. It's like if Runescape started taxing people to use banks - but unlike Habbo, Runescape is properly run :/ It seems easier just to trade the old fashion way, but I guess people don't like interacting with others now :/
