Surely if I get better grades than those they've offered conditionals too at 240, and they accept them in, it's a bit of a **** system? since im sitting there with 360 ucas points unaccepted and they're getting in with 240 :S

all depends on your predictions and AS aswell. you do better at AS then they tend to want you more so they lower your offer and vice versa

what were lancaster offering? last year they wanted me to get AAB (As in maths and economics), then i said well thats impossible cus i cant get my economics up to an A (couldnt resit, was on the old courses), so they said ABB would be fine, and then i asked about the A being in general studies and they said they couldnt guarantee but it shouldntve been a problem.Oxford Brookes - Conditional - Firm
Plymouth University - Conditional - Insurance
Nottingham Trent University - Conditional - Declined
Lancaster University - Conditional - Declined (Grades far too high for me to be realistic so wasn't worth putting as firm)
Aberystwyth University - Conditional - Declined
All for Accounting and Finance
Just submitted my accommodation for brookes as well
unfortunately they can. It means that too many people have applied for the course and theyve had to upgrade their boundaries. the people youve spoken to might have had their offer decided a while ago but the uni might not have released them to UCAS. or they want to push youJust got conditionals for 2 of them
Does anyone know if it allowed for a University to offer you a conditional for more UCAS points than it says in the course details on ucas / site?
Just it tells me 240-280 on the site, put my predicted grades down as DDD and now they're saying the conditional is only if I get 360 :S Fair do's I can get it, but they state they're equal on their website. And other students are getting conditional offers on the same courses for less points.![]()

Haha they can push me, thats fine, im dedicated to my work. Its just if at the end of it all I don't get DDD under some **** circumstances and, yet get DDM, and people get accepted to the course with mmp, i'll be furious.
It Was ABB cause it was accounting finance and mathematics. if i wanted to do just accounting and finance i was gonna need AAB. not gonna get those grades! was really surprised when i got my offer as my AS level grades weren't that highwhat were lancaster offering? last year they wanted me to get AAB (As in maths and economics), then i said well thats impossible cus i cant get my economics up to an A (couldnt resit, was on the old courses), so they said ABB would be fine, and then i asked about the A being in general studies and they said they couldnt guarantee but it shouldntve been a problem.

Unsuccesful at Abertay because the course filled up :/ I'm actually gutted.
Anyone know if its worth contacting the Uni to ask about possible drop outs etc?
