Obviously I only come on here to spread pro-Eurovision and pro-UK propaganda (but not last year because "That Sounds Good to Me" was horsepoo and there's no way some people would believe there were no political motives behind our last place), so here I am with a thread similar to this one in 2009 where only one person correctly predicted Dame Jade of Ewen would be in the Top 5. There are also a few angry posts from myself and Sammeth. in there. Such fun.

I'm gunna say top 5. Just because Blue did have a fairly decent fan base in Europe (especially Italy) and this song isn't trashy cheesy-pop that we've entered for the last 10 years.

It could be argued United Kingdom is one of the most successful countries in Eurovision.
In 53 appearances we have:
43% of all appearances we have finished Top 3 (23 times)
54% of all appearances we have finished Top 5 (29 times)
77% of all appearances we have finished Top 10 (41 times)
In fact only 18% of all appearances have we finished in the bottom half of the board (10 times) it just so happens that those have been more recent.
If we totalled up all the points awarded to each country since 1957 - 2010, the United Kingdom has been awarded the 2nd most amount, after Sweden and above Ireland.
Just to put it in perspective for those who are young enough only to remember the bad performances, and therefore expect to be in the bottom.
