I've been making Mahogany tables but I've been told that Dungeon doors are better?

Is this true because the doors give 600xp per and the tables give 840xp per..

It is true indeed. I did dung doors from 74-99

Making mahogany tables gives you 300-500k exp/hour without using sacred clay hammers. I've heard some people get upto 700k exp/hour if you're concentrating.
Making oak doors can get you around 200-250k exp/hour, but it's cheaper than making mahogany tables.
So it depends if you're willing to spend alot of cash for the extra exp/hour, and how much you value your time.

By the way, if you're going for 99 Construction making mahogany tables, you could also train magic by making mahogany planks using plank make if you're not already 99 magic. It's good exp/hour and you can use the planks for training construction.

I did dung doors with SC hammer and I was roughly on 900-1m exp an hour
