Paintball Final! w00t

I don't know if this is classed as a sport? but anyway Ima tell you,

Me and a few lads take part in a local Paint ball torni, we aint the best but we somehow made it to the final.

I just received the email telling us what type of game we are going to be playing, and when reading it, it's quite original from all the other games we have played (Hide the guy in the high vis, collect the cans, team death match, ect..).

This is what the arena will look like:



Name of Game: Castle Raids

well from reading the email this is what we have to do:

we start in the safe zone (all 15 of us) and we have a basic gun with only 10 bullets and the enemy team will be scatted around the castles. The first thing we have to do is find more ammo, Ammo is hidden all around the map, in trees and in the enemy castles. (Probably some on the truck too)

After that we have to make out way to the castles. Take down whoever is guarding the castles. Inside the castles will be an old laptop with some Intel on it (Laptop is dead, just gonna be a piece of paper stuck to the scream with one or two letters on it). Once we have done that, we have to use the Intel to make a word which we will give to a marshal. If the code work is correct he will open a gate and we will storm the main castle, Inside the castle is a flag, we need to retrieve the flag and then run to base. As soon as we leave the main castle gates, all of the enemy's we have taken down will return to play. If all of us get shot we lose. If the flag makes it to the base, we win.

Sounds cool ;D

The map is petty big, so should be a good game.

we play the attackers first round, and then the enemy play the attackers the next round. If we both win. or we both lose, I think it will just go to team death match I think, Not sure.

Good luck with it dude. When I did Paintballing my strategy was to run! It didn't pay off as I got shot multiple times

I was thinking of doing paintballing as a sport, but i'm too young and havent done it enough.

lol the last game we played, we had to retrieve cans from around the map, without getting shot. I was like 'Hold my gun' and legged it. I got shot a few times but I still got the can. (we could get shot as many times, aint of the game was to see how long it took to retrieve all the cans).

When you have been playing it for 3 years, you get used to the pain

My job is a paintball marshal so a few pointers if you wish:

1. the most clever stratergy i have seen is some of the guys playing used 3 barrels as a portable wall and slowly moved towards the castle to grab the flag. It was genious because A. they could move with ease towards there objective B. it covered all directions and C. it wasn't breaking any rules.

2. Don't be afraid to get stuck in, hide in thorns it all helps with cover it may be painful but it helps

3. cover parts of you in mud, This may sound stupid but it means there is less chance of the paintball bursting and unless the paintball bursts your not out

4. gather all ammo you find into a lovalised area (most likley the safe zone) this means if someone runs out of ammo rather than finding some on the ground or scaverging from other players all the located ammo will be in one section for everyone to easily pop back and grab... But dont be greedy!

5. Finally (this may be cheating not to sure by the rules of where your going) If you make it to the final run a good tactic is for all the remaining players to surround the flag holder so in the final run there is less chance of the flag holder being shot. You need to ALL do this for it to be effective because any exposed suit on the flag carrier and he'll be taken down.

Sounds good, Ive used the first one before, and It didn't go too well, considering I dropped my gun and didn't realize LOL

lat time i jumped in a bush, I jumped on someone and got point blanked in the back.
