    Default 18 month old given contract

    An 18th month old toddler has been given a contract by a top dutch side...

    Bit young in my opinion!

    Ok, now yes this could be considered as a talented child, but a contract at that age? Pathetic in my opinion!

    I know, ok like you say he can kick some balls well...
    How can that team know what he will be like in 1 years time.. He may get seriously ill or just not like football no more or basically anything can change!

    Really daft in my opinion!

    Exactly! It's just so silly. If the childs parents allowed him to get signed at that age, I'd be worried. Maybe the child might grow up and decide he doesn't even want to play football? Far far far too early!

    lolol.

    Well maybe that was all luck - I have a video of me at 6 years old, shooting a 3 pointer and scoring 3 times in a row.. I can't do that for the life of me now.

    There's another shooting today, and this one was bad

    Probably worth it although it is dangerous signing people up to things at such an age, if football is all he ever knows at such a young age you run the risk of depression etc later in life.

    If he turns out to be a star player the club could sell him for millions, he does look like he's got something and his genes suggest that too, and if he hasn't, then the club probably hasn't lost much money. Scouting is very lucrative.

    Remember Tiger Woods was introduced to Golf at two and by the age of three was getting very good scores on real courses, remarkable;

    True, he might not evan want to be a footballer & a 10 year contract too!

    Its a gamble for the club & if it pays off then well done to them!
