Going to Florida in October and we usually fly with Virgin but the prices have gone up a bit since we last went. If anyone's been to Orlando or America in general who do you usually fly with or who would you recommend?

Alexandra!
We always fly Continental, really good service and pretty decent prices all the time. Only had a few problems in all the time we've flown, which is quite a few. We've also used British Airways (blah) and Delta (more blah).
Westjet.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.
Continental are decent and they're more likely to bump you up to business than British airlines.

I can't help you in terms of recommending airlines, although I expect most airlines prices would have gone up recently - I tend to find booking either really late, or really early is the best way to go!
lol this couldn't be more true. If you were prepared to go to Florida last week for 2 weeks, we could have found you flights for little over £200.. last minute bookings. Compare that to the £800 we're paying in August for Virgin (direct). You really need to avoid school holidays for a start. Right now, it's exams and kids are at school... hence cheap prices.
I don't think it's a matter of looking for airlines in general, you just need to look at all possible options. For example, you can expect to reduce the price by a hefty amount by travelling indirect. Virgin is a direct flight to Orlando, whereas other airlines travel indirect and cut the price. Majority of the time, we tend to have a 2 hour stop at another US airport instead of travelling direct to Orlando; it gives you a rest half-way and it saves you a load of cash.
Good luck.![]()
Well ive always flown to Orlando with virgin myself and have been very happy with the whole service! Have a nice holiday![]()
lol, Virgin used to be a decent service but it's severely deteriorated. They're pretty much old planes these days, terrible food and quite rude staff, we've found anyway. We tend to be travelling with American carriers as of late and they're generally a lot, lot better.
Here's a fantastic complaint which I remember being in the news years ago..-> http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/tr...nt-letter.html
I'm going with Thomson in about 6 hours lol
