    Death Note if you want a series, or if you're a viewer with a more acquired taste then Baccano is another good starting point. It's done in the same nonlinear style as Pulp Fiction. If you would rather start with a film then Spirited Away or Sword of the Stranger, or if you want something more hardcore then Ghost in the Shell.

    Also no Ghost in the Shell no Matrix... just saying. :8 It really is that groundbreaking a film. Everyone should check it out.

    Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are both great follow up series if you enjoy Death Note.

    Also, speaking of Death Note...

    I feel Fullmetal Alchemist is too long a series to recommend someone as a starting point or follow up.

    I'm considering rewatching either Baccano or Cowboy Bebop. I would watch Death Note again, but it would be my fifth time.
