Awh good, put this strap of cloth on, heres a beat you didn't make, some lyrics you didn't write, now get on the stage and sing, don't worry though you'll either be miming or your voice will be edited.

Rihanna uses sex to sell her music and this song is the most obvious. First of all we have the title, 'Rude Boy'. What is a 'Rude Boy'? Is it a boy from the poverty stricken backstreets of Miami who hustles to get by or is it a sexual term? Make your own mind up, just be sure to google 'Rude Boy' and see what sites come up, especially the '.com' site, anyone want a 'butt-boy' or a 'Ramsey Rabbit'? Hell, before you even click play on the video above we've got a photo of Rihanna scantly dressed in what can only be described as barbed wire, perhaps she thought a rude boy was a hustler and tried raiding a factory at night only to find it's protected by barbed wire, have some street cred points for that attempt Rihanna.

Move onto the video, probably best if you watch the official video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e82VE8UtW8A&ob=av2e). Once again you're greeted by Rihanna and of course, once again she's scantly dressed, even throws a bit of butt shaking in at 00:17 and some finger sucking around 00:26. Who needs a good beat and lyrics when you can pull of such sexual actions? Oh and then we have the chorus, the introduction to the song.

Chuck the lyrics into the mix along with the finger sucking and butt shaking and we've got a very nice song coming along here! I mean, it's marketable right? Although I'm sure Rihanna should clarify what she's asking about, what can we get up and what is big enough? I think we're rapidly moving away from the rude boy in the backstreets of Miami, it's getting pretty clear what a 'rude boy' is all about. Shame really, Rihanna will have to put some clothes on instead of wearing the barbed wire as a trophy of raiding a factory to be a rude boy.

    Oh and then we have this, it must have took Rihanna a long time to write these lyrics. I mean her producers, sorry about that, for a second I thought Rihanna was capable of writing lyrics. How foolish of me. Anyway;

Good news guys, she's going to be our rider, and I don't think she means she'll be competing in the Grand National so put your betting money away! Let's go back to the official video and to 00:40 seconds ish, a nice bit of hip movement is the only suggestion we need to get a clue of what she wants to be riding. The video's getting a bit seedy isn't it? Good job it's not as seedy as her 'S&M' video which was banned in at least 11 countries for being too saucy! Great publicity though eh? Got her in the news for months, marketing success! Although unfortunately she was being sued by David LaChapelle, but what for? Everything Rihanna does is so creative, she directs her videos, writes her lyrics and produces her beats right? Uhh, yeah...

Why else don't I like the song? Well I can't resist another look at some more lyrics from the song, I'll make it my last though otherwise Logan- will label me a hater again.

Once again, yet another creative line from our creative artist here! Does anyone know where Rihanna is being touched, please tell me as I'm curious, you may wish to PM me it just in case it's too saucy for the moderators on HxF. Oh what, too saucy? So we're having to put parental guidance on this stuff because it's not suitable for children? But Rihanna has millions of young female fans who look up to her, they're all watching this video on YouTube and TV and yet we're doing our best to moderate it? You're fighting a losing battle guys, let the sexual music industry take over, makeup instead of talent.

Now I'm getting bored and I've wasted ten minutes of my valuable time so the above is just a little bit on why I dislike the song and the artist (along with others) in general. Rihanna didn't make the beat, write the lyrics or direct the video. I may have referred to her as an artists in my post, I was wrong, she's a performer. She'll turn up and do what other artists tell her to do, they're the ones who market her to the masses of smooshy brained, auto tune loving zombies.

    Logan-, feel free to reply.
I also dislike this and hard and s&m

@Logan You voice purists annoy me. Always going on like auto-tune is the scum of the Earth. There is nothing wrong with it, at all.

And I like how you are going on about Rihanna using sex to sell records as if she is the only artist that does it. Most of todays pop artists - female and male - use it in one way or another. Look at JLS and The Wanted; the hot boy bands who all the girls want, always wearing tightly fitted t-shirts in their videos and getting their bodies out for photoshoots. Artists like Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Rihanna use in their videos, so what? Why would anyone want to watch them in their jogger bottoms and a hoody?

I don't like most pop music, it all sounds the same and is just awful, but some decent songs exist, I hate Friday and Baby, don't really care about Justin Bieber or Rebecca Black as artists, those songs are just awful.

I listen to metal so obviously my opinion doesn't matter and I'm just an "emo" so take no notice of me.

It would be wrong to assume that she's the only one who does that. A lot of mainstream artists are commercialized in that way, as argued in another thread.

Slowpoke if the post was aimed at me you can tell by my older post (which Logan- has still failed to reply to properly), that it's not just Rihanna I show a disliking to, this thread however asked for one song.

Oh please don't -rep me, I shall now go and cry into my pillow because I'm hated, my ego has now taken a beating. She isn't a good singer, she uses sex to sell her albums and tickets, then again so does the vast majority of the modern music industry. Just look at some of the 'top 40' artists this week, which I'm sure we'd find if we checked your iPod, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, Tinchy Stryder, and of course, the queen tart, Rihanna. They're all contracted because they're sellable to the masses, they're manufactured rubbish for people like you who lap this rubbish up.

The vast majority of this rubbish is vetted, they don't write lyrics and the ones they do write are passed between so many people going through them with a fine comb to weave out anything which may upset the masses that it isn't the artists own when it comes to the final piece. Just look at the problems Lupe Fiasco has when he goes to produce a new single since his record deal.

You have so many talented artists who deserve the money but don't get it because the fat cats decide they're not marketable to the plastic masses like you, instead the mushy brains would much prefer Jedward. My hat goes off to those who stick to the underground and still bring the money in minus the help of the devil, Ed Sheeran for example. The boy grafted for his success and is about to get the rewards, unfortunately with this will no doubt come some vetting. We've seen it already, 'Little Lady' has had a name change to 'A-Team'.

The fat cats have what they want though so they don't care. They've got the masses begging for more, they've produced a symbol for those which go against the grain. The masses then turn on those with an opinion and call them a 'hater', they don't believe these people are right, how dare they not like lyrics such as "baby baby baby". How dare they not like the same used beats over and over again. How dare they prefer something fresh compared to the tripe served up by SONY and co.

The fat cats are wanting to come down hard on the internet because of something many journalists describe as an 'internet revolution', music fans can now buy the music they like directly from the artists, whether they're unsigned or signed.

Modern ARTISTS exist, but are in the shadow of Rihanna's umbrella and the males that are helping Rihanna cast that shadow are putting a synth beat together while the females are practicing a strip tease.

As for the -rep, I'll guide you to here.

Now run along and grow up or listen to Rihanna, Soulja Boy and other great artists. Remember, buy a t-shirt and cap on the way out of the gig.

Soulja Boy Off In This ***
Watch Me Lean And Watch Me Rock
    Super Man Dat ***
Then Watch Me Crank Dat Robocop
Super Fresh, Now Watch Me Jock
    Jocking On Them Haterz Man
When I Do Dat Soulja Boy
I Lean To The Left And Crank Dat Thang
    (Now You)
I'm Jocking On Yo ***** Ass
And If We Get The Fightin
Then I'm Cocking On Your *****
You Catch Me At Yo Local Party
    Yes I Crank It Everyday
    Haterz Get Mad Cuz
"I Got Me Some Bathin Apes"

P.S - Please don't do a Soulja Boy and 'Super Man' me, also when you buy your cap and get it signed by Rihanna can you ask her if she knows what her good friend Soulja Boy meant by "I got me some bathin apes".
