Was just going to say something similar. HTML5 might be good, but a lot of people aren't using it yet and can't really say which is more reliable.
Lots of people use Flash and by saying no to flash, it's like apple are inviting adobe to cause a problem.
There was an interesting blog I read to about HTML5 and some code that apparently belong to Apple, stating that Apple where using the whole it's got problems thing as a way to hide the fact they owned some code or something along those lines
