Depends if you want good alcohol?
If you have the willpower I suggest buying a month before and storing it as alcohol prices are jacked up 1 week before Halloween in some places.

Yeah, we always used to buy New year party drinks at the end of November before they put up prices/had less offers on in December as well.

Any well known public celebration the alcohol / special food for it will go up in price a week before, companies hope people have saved shopping til the last couple of days.
