Yes what Niels says is completely true, if you don't have access to armoured zombies which reach the 100k/hour xp lines, for strength dharoking the monkeys at ape atoll are very fast. Whip is the same speed as saradomin sword and same strength just two handed, rapier is the same speed also and alot stronger, it would be worth spending 2m on the rapier every 10 hours as the benefits of the combat training would mean new access to areas to make better cash sums daily.

you can easily make 2m in 10 hours of melee combat...

but that 2m could go towards something else.

Do i need any other reqs for it? Can i just buy it from GE?

A rapier requires 80 dung and 200k tokens (which you get from 1-80 dung).
80 dung will probably take about 1 week though...

Whats realistic? How hard is it to train up?

Realistically, it'll take you anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to get 80 depending on how much time you put into it and how good your teams are. Worth it, though! Just do a few dungeons with friends or whatever every couple of days and it'll feel like less of a grind.
