And the list of singular core smart phones is a lot, lot larger. Dual core phones, as I have said, are fairly new to the consumer market.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
Those are all the leading phones in the market, and importantly the majority of the current high-end phones, a group which the iPhone is a member of, the list of single core will be longer because it takes years for stock to clear. If Apple isn't bringing something new to the table they'll simply be behind next time round.
Apple is behind the curve at the moment whether you believe it or not.

One million pre orders in first 24 hours. ****.
I don't think it's that amazing considering the number of iPhones in circulation mixed in with the number of countries that have the iPhone. There's bound to be one million die hard iPhone/Apple fans in the world at any given time (let alone 24 hours) so overall I'm not that surprised. 100 million units sold worldwide as of March 2011 and with many contracts coming to an end at the right time, with many people leaving their iPhone 3GS models in hopes for the latest is an expected contributing factor. The iPhone 4 preorders sold out on the first day too due to limited stock. Apple have done what many other organisations do and that's increase pre-order stock because the demand is there (basic supply and demand economics).

It stills adds a significant amount of iPhones to the world.I don't think it's that amazing considering the number of iPhones in circulation mixed in with the number of countries that have the iPhone. Yeah my two-year contract expired on the day the iPhone 4S expired so I've pre-ordered a 64GB white one which should come on Friday ;D - The boost in capacity is the main reason why I've bought it, my 64GB iPod Touch is waterdamaged and my HTC Touch Pro 2 is proving a bit slow despite being a fantastic phone.
My HTC Touch Pro 2 has run Windows Mobile 6.5 since the day it was released and I've not had any problems with it although it is tricky for anyone unfamiliar with it to use. The phone still attracts attention despite being almost three years old and is incredibly durable, I woke up to find it in a 3 inch deep puddle recently and it's survived. Kinda gutted to be going so "mainstream" and also by the lack of 4G & NFC but it seems the right move![]()
