Sure we've grown up and listen to whatever we listen to, though I still believe the new songs that are getting released don't have the same effect that the past generations have.

You will always have the 'classics' that you will never forget, though its very hard to remember songs that make a difference these days.

I also think that the music industry is getting flooded now, with a lot more people being able to learn an instrument, record and share, due to the internet and other media.

    Times are changing

music is all down to taste, regardless of the talent involved in the creating process so get our your own **** and let people listen to whatever they want

p.s i just listened to that song... do you know what garage music is l o l?
People can listen to whatever they want. I'm just saying that the 'majority' of what is listened to is getting worse and worse.

And as for garage music, again it's a matter of opinion. Which you stated earlier.

I saw Warpaint when they came to Australia, absolutely amazing.

The music that makes the 'charts' or artists that get signed are just not as worthy any more, sure there are amazing musicians out there but the wrong ones are getting noticed.

I have a hard time listening to anything in a top 10 because its the same 4/4 beat over and over again, though there are those odd occasions when something amazing makes it.

I love a majority of genres, the only thing I can't stand is dance, trance and heavy metal.

You have a false view because you're choosing to remember only good music from the past, there was just as much crap in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s as there is now. You can easily prove this by playing the number one hits from various periods, most of them will be consider down right awful.

I have false view because I have an opinion?

And I agree with the crap from the past, Just things are worse now because it feels all recycled and re-used.

Garage Rock would be the genre I was heading for.

Garage music, for me, is anything that would be made and have a 'grungish' sound.

I agree that the song you posted does fit into that genre, though with the more club style sound.

Also there is the International Divide. I'm from Australia so our views could be completely different musically.

I assume most are from the UK?

As for the genres I like, I don't mind a bit of everything.
