Back from MCM Expo and still recovering. Cosplaying is so much fun. Seriously, if any of you ever get the chance and are MAN ENOUGH, definitely do it. Also attended the industry panel while I was there. Not really much I'm interested in as far as near-future releases are concerned, but wow I never knew MVM licensed Welcome to the NHK. Definitely getting that.

I don't intend to watch Brotherhood anyway, since you never stuck to our deal even though I completely destroyed you in that Brawl competition.

"Contrary to some what some grimacing old-schoolers (like myself) believe, this past decade was actually pretty good for anime, and gave us lots of unique and memorable titles. Japanese news site Ameba hosted a poll asking its readers what the best Jump manga of the 2000s was--the full list and votes from the 15,000 participants go as follows:

    1. Death Note (4,267)

    2. Gintama (3,746)

    3. Bleach (2,569)

    4. Toriko (658)

    5. Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! (642)

    6. Bakuman. (597)

    7. Eyeshield 21 (478)

    8. Ichigo 100% (436)

    9. Beelzebub (386)

    10. Pyu to ***u! Jaguar (347)

It makes sense, at least to me. Death Note uses mind games and deception like other series use superpowered martial arts, so despite all appearances it is a very traditional shounen series. And just in case you guys are wondering where One Piece and Naruto are, those series both started in the late '90s, so they weren't eligible for this survey."

I've began watching Hajime No Ippo... again. This is the fifth time I've watched the series. It's definitely my favourite anime haha. I'm going to finish it all the way through and read the entire manga this time. Does anyone else have any motivational anime for me to watch? Recently hit the gym again and meaning to make myself bigger.
    Also, I love this song.

Who cares how much a manga sells. The live-action trilogy adaptation of 20th Century Boys is one of the biggest undertakings in Japanese film history if you want to talk statistics. Naoki Urasawa is known as the new God of Manga and 20th Century Boys is his masterpiece. It cannot be beaten.

True but, at the same time you dont sell that many volumes if its not good. Gintama is awesome and sells around 500,000 i think so for OP to sell 3 million.

"On the December 22nd issue of “Shukan Bunshun“, it was reported that Oda Eiichiro annually makes over ¥2 billion (approximately $23,920,584)! According to the magazine, the mangaka earns about ¥1.3 billion from royalties, and ¥750 million from second-party usage fees for the characters."

    Lucky guy.

and Naoki Urasawa is awesome i enjoyed Monster so i'm hoping 20th century boys and Pluto are good aswell
