    Okay, well there's this boy I know and we're good friends but he's started sending stuff like;

    i like you a lot and i just wish someone would like me for my intelligence and brains not my "good" looks

    Gosh it's so awkward, I mean he's a lovely lad but I'd prefer to just be friends with him, and I don't know what to say amg, it's so awkward looool ;L I've tried ignoring him but he's been at it for a week and I think it's time I said something put I don't want to sound really harsh errr

    if I was you I'd just keep dropping hints like "i'm so happy I don't have a boyfriend" "it's so nice to be free" "god I can't imagine how horrible being in a relationship would be right now"

    or just be kind and say "I'm not really looking for a relationship right now, and although I adore you as a friend I don't think anything else between us would work"

    However, you could say you're not interested and that you're sure he'll find someone for his brains and not his looks.

    that will ruin the friendship when she starts dating someone though, as he'll feel rejected.

    be honest cos it'll ruin your friendship if you leave it too long as he may have a dented ego and feel like a douche.

    I agree with this bit really, I think he'll feel rejection once you date someone, Jess so I wouldn't suggest it, after all he's your friend, right?!

    Honesty is the best policy. Not all the time, however in the nicest way possible, just say you're not interested.
