Whats rep power?

I saw my info and i saw 'Rep Power: 1' whats that? and also what are the ranks for the forum is for????

Rep power means that when you go to rep someone, the amount of rep power you have will be the amount of rep points they received, For you when you rep someone they will receive 1 rep point.
With me they will receive 2

It means that when you click the scales of somebody's post, and click ' I agree with this post' you will give a number of 'Reputation Points' to that user, (whatever your 'Rep(utation) power is).

However if you click 'I disagree with this post' it will give them a NEGATIVE number of whatever your Rep Power is. In this case, '-1'.
