    I saw this the other day. It's quite disturbing to think that a dead bird wasn't spotted before it was sold.

    Don't see what the fuss is about.

    I have twice got rolls from my local bakery with a fly in them, though I just got on with it and threw the rolls away.

    Plus realistically it's too expensive to quality control a salad.

    The Tesco works should have seen this though when they stacked the shelves...?

    Yeah, it is rather expensive just to quality control a salad, I would assume though with Tescos being a huge business that they would improve their quality control.

    McDonalds has a machine in their factory which slices/cleans/etc. lettuce and it cost them £200,000 :L and yet, their food is still disgusting x

    They're just stackers. Quality control is usually left down to the factory it was produced, with exemption to in house producers that usually check for irregularities in the food they produce e.g. bakery, butcher, fish monger.

    I suppose you could argue that the couple should of noticed it when they picked it up too

    not what you find in your average salad, but yeh thats pretty unusual

    EWWWW that's just full on gross if I saw that in my salad and was about to eat it id of screamed, this has put me of buying from tescos now and this has made me check food that my mum bought now before eating any of the food
