Yorkhill is a charity that really has affected me, I find it ridiculous that a hospital has been forced to set up its' own charity to fund equipment such as ENT diagnostic suites and paediatric intensive care ambulances, simply because the funding they receive for the NHS does not stretch far enough. Plus it's in Scotland, so I fully support them.
My mum works for Yorkhill Hospital in the renal (kidney) unit and I know first hand on how much the money helps.

Really? My job is actually purely fundraising for the charities, and the campaign we're doing for Yorkhill at present is the non-responders, i.e. people who have taken on a home money box but not returned it, and trying to get them to sign up to direct debits instead. It's really one that's touched me, what with their presentation they gave and the stories and details I have on my infosheet. I love doing the campaigns for Yorkhill.
