Surely it's Maccy D's? MacDonalds, MacFries... MacBurger... MacFlurry. It's how Mc is pronounced :S Mickey D's is just how people pronunciate Mac without emphasis on the 'a'.

Oh, and Big Mac is a big give away

It's pronounced "Mc", not "Mac". There is no "a" related sound in there. But the correct slang Is "Maccy D's" or "Mackies". Who the hell says "Mickey D's"? :S.

Mickey D's was part of McDonald's advertising campaign years ago. Maccy D's is basically the Chinese whispers result. Never been known as Maccy D's. McDonald's trademarked it, however, as a lot of people say it, even though they are incorrect.

I love how [@]@Misawa[/@] turned this into a debate of what we should call it. I swear this thread was about what you prefer, get out Misawa you grump.

I dislike most of MACCY D'S food, I only really like their chicken nuggets and chips, aha. Burger King's chips are amazing and I love their chicken royale burger with cheese or w/e it's called. Also, when they did popcorn chicken that was the best oh my god. mmm

The nursery rhyme "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" is older than McDonald's Corporation, so by that logic it should be pronounced 'Mac'

The Big Mac has been around since 1967 too, so there must be some connection with Mc being Mac and not Mick, otherwise it would be a Big Mick.

But this is just arguing pedantics and how certain words are pronounced
