Only if I need money for college or they owe me some (which is rare at the moment as I have no job and no spare money of my knowledge).
i don't mean to be rude i'm just curious but i don't think you have a job, how do you have your own money?i think you should ask your guardians what they think is an appropriate amount of money for you to be given and stick with it or have an allowance monthly/weekly. i think it's good that you appreciate the fact they have other children and you don't feel as though it's your 'right' to have their money regardless of how wealthy they are.
i absolutely will not take money off my mum. i don't ever ask and i'll refuse any money she offers me because i have my own. my brother asks her for money EVERY weekend for 'credit' even though he doesn't deserve it, gets money on the dole and doesn't even need it because my mum provides everything already. i really would love to slap him but she's as bad, being a pushover ugh. eh she paid for my driving lessons and i have a roof over my head and that's more than enough.
oh and to answer the question i have a job right now so i don't, but she'll pay for like my toiletries and stuff. when i'm jobless i'll get 25 a week, but since i've been 16 there's only been 2 months of that time where i was without a job so woo

when i used to go out id ask if i didn't have any money left and they're fine with it but then when im actually shopping i can't spend it because i feel bad so i end up just giving it back but now i have a job there's no need!
however we were in a computer shop and i decided i wanted a laptop (oh) and only had £55 so my uncle was rly nice and lended me the other half so now im working to pay it back before i can actually keeep it, 2 weeks to go!!!
I don't ask for money, it's more of my parents asking if I have enough. They ask how much I am going out with and they say something like is that enough I can go to the bank if not. My Dad would usually give me £5 or £10 say if I wanted a game or something but as I am not one to spend a massive amount or buy stuff I don't want or need I usually just give it back to him/them.
However, I don't have a job and he drives me to College everyday, also I have a 5 hour free on Tuesday so he picks me up and takes me back then. I also finish early on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday so does the same then. Anyway, it's more if i want money I can get it but it's sometimes out of my bank, I have like £155 in my bank so it will come out of there sometimes and just go back in if I don't use it. I also get EMA but I don't bother using any of that because it's like £20 a week doesn't even cover the diesel my Dad uses so he's welcome to all my EMA.
I don't feel guilty when I want/ask for money, because I know I will rarely spend it and it's just there in case I need it/run out of the money I have.
I hope that made sense. I sometimes need extra just incase my Boyfriend hasn't got any so I'll pay for his food and stuff but in theory he spends more on me when he buys me presents.
My parents work very hard and so earn a lot of money, and a lot of it goes on me. I don't exactly feel guilty, as its how I've grown up, I've always (as bad as it sounds) got what I've wanted, and so have my friends at school. I go to a school where everyone has wealthy parents (many much richer than mine), and so for me I suppose its just 'normal' for myself and the people around me to get whatever they ask for?
Having said that, I don't really ask for much, more often that not my parents will buy me things without me even asking! So yeah, I don't really feel guilty, but I do often stop and think how lucky I am to be born into a family like mine (not that you need money to be happy of course, but money certainly does make your life easier :p)

I ask my mum for money all the time. Based on the premise that she asks me for money too.
I hate asking my parents for money, but in my family we chuck money around by lending it to other members of the family, asking someone to buy whoever one item in exchange for money in the future or something they want but aren't too familiar with where to get it. Plus my family have a trust fund so we feel we have to ask anyway, because if we don't it will only be chucked at us without question anyway. We're open with money in my family, we are a strange lot
My nan loves chucking money at me and if I say no she starts making a scene in public, so I've just learnt to accept what she wants to give :/
