Why is there artists we hear nothing of for ages?

Such as Little Boots and Alphabeat etc. They were really popular in 2008/2009 and I haven't heard much of them since and I really liked them

writing a new album? time off after touring? or the most likely explanation... another example of crappy pop/fad music/one hit wonders??

i've heard of them but not actually listened to their music so my bad if they're really a proper band!

Completely forgot about them, A lot of them have fizzled out. Theres better artists at the moment anyway.

I heard a lot of pop groups like that are starting to split up and go solo, don't knowww.

i think some of them are still making music just not mainstream. little boots wasn't very mainstream to begin with and then remedy got quite popular, but i don't think her other stuff is as commercially viable.

I still listen to Little Boots sometimes. I don't really like Alphabeat!!

I only liked one Alphabeat song but I will listen to their full discography if La Roux promises to either sort her hair or never appear in a video again.
