My mum's forever asking me who I'm skyping to and I just say it's just a school friend. I'll probably get round to telling her one day. She doesn't really understand much about the internet and thinks that if I don't know them in real life, then they must be a pedo.

My dad was in the police and I tell my dad if I think somethin dodgy is going on and he tells me what he thinks of it. Most of the time he's like "well, from what they've said they sound a bit dodgy askin for your age and where you live and stuff", he's good to have around

Haha that was ******* jokes. He was fully naked too.

On topic here - I talked to a lot of people online before I came to Uni, like 2-3 months before. Some of them are my best friends now even at Uni and w/o speaking online that probably wouldn't have happened.

I don't think my mum has a problem with it because she knows I'm not going to do anything stupid. I've been speaking to people online for years now and probably started using skype around a year ago. I sometimes try to hide the fact that they're online friends if she asks though, haha.
