    Thanks!

I'll be hopeful and predict a 22-18 win for Batley. Come on the bulldogs!!

John Kear had some interesting news to share on the Batley website, looks like we're in for a different set of players to Featherstone's successful beating...

The Bulldogs are in the middle of a tough little spell having to travel to both Featherstone and Leigh in the space of four days, but the head coach had already made provision for such a gruelling mini-schedule. "I made two selections - one for each game - last week. It's impossible for the same set of players to back up with the same enthusiasm and fitness levels in such a short space of time so I picked a team that I thought could get something out of the Fev game and a different team that will be ready to go at Leigh."
The Batley chairman among some other senior figures have began their walk to Leigh this evening too, in an attempt to raise money for the new ground.

I've just look now, and I had been watching the progress made by the chairman and it's an excellent attempt at raising money. Best of luck to them very creative

Excellent match there, well done on the win

Also, did you see the NRC 1/4 final fixtures?

    Leigh v Batley
    Keighley v Featherstone
    Halifax v Barrow
    Sheffield v Hunslet
    Should be interesting again!

That game was simply surreal - it was tense right from the opening whistle to the final hooter. It was crazy. The Batley lads put up a great show yet again, but I was almost shaking with the fact that they may have lost it in the final few minutes (especially considering their track record where they've lost the second half in terms of the amount of points scored).

The referee was simply terrible though - the three officials got a huge "boooo!!" at the end of the match from everyone, following the almost constant screaming and abuse throughout the game from both sides. He was incredibly insecure and lacked the ability to make a decision for himself; relying far too much on the video referee. Then again, he was rubbish for both sides... so I do suppose it evens it out somewhat.

Oh, and the somersaults were good too.

We walked in about a minute after kick-off. There was an average speed check of 50mph for about 10 miles on the M62 which made the journey pretty tough. After gobbling a KFC when we got to Leigh, and standing in line to pick up the tickets... we only just made it!

The NRC fixtures couldn't have been more awkward, could it? Leigh v. Batley - of all teams! After tonight's performance, it seems that they're both pretty equal. This could make for an interesting season.

I'm not a big fan of League, more of a Union fan but hey.

I watch the NRL from time to time.

I saw the result - that's quite an achievement! Well done! Did Wigan put out a weaker side?

Wigan never played P.Richards or S.Thomkins but other than that it was a fairly strong side in my opinion with Charnly, Luilarky and so on! We just played amazing to be fair and got deep for once!!! Cant wait to go back across to Hull for FC on sunday
