Ben,
I reckon you should just stick with swimming and your other sports atm as you're still young and you're still growing. Perhaps you could join a swimming club or something? I know my school used to have swimming competitions with other schools. I'm not the right person to be giving advice as I'm a fat **** but I know swimming is proven to be really good fitness wise and I know a ton of friends who swim and are extremely fit.

This is true, my friend Barry is nearly 6 foot and 4 stone.
Also, I know this because my other friend Paul is about 5 foot 12 and weighs about 12 stone and he looks about 3 times as big as Barry.

I'm 5 foot tall and weigh just under 7 stone, I just scrape a 'normal' bmi so I don't see how anyone taller can weigh less than that. If they do then so be it but anyway this thread is ultimately about Ben so here's my input.
I don't think cutting down on eating is the only way to lose weight, yeah cutting down on snacking might help but at the end of the day most people will eat when they're hungry.
My sister goes to Slimming World with my mum every Wednesday, she isn't fat nor overweight but she wants to lose a few pounds, as she hasn't got a lot to lose (like you in some case) then it may take a while to come off but with persistence it will pay off.
A good way to have physical exercise whilst having fun and not doing too much damage would be console games such as wii fit, just dance things that get your whole body moving, it might seem silly but it does also burn calories that you've consumed off so there would be some difference (eventually).
I remember in my school we weren't allowed to do weights until year 10 meaning we were 14-15 years old, then again they weren't heavy therefore wouldn't have much effect in the long run.
However, as some others have suggested I would keep on with the swimming as it involves tonnes of muscles it will help increase stamina and such; other sports are good too though.

[@]@Zak[/@] I knowdoesn't help that I'm almost 18 and can get on a bus for under 11 without a pass.
Anyway, another way would be jogging and walking ben, I have a fast metabolism so I will probably pay in the future with the junk I eat.
Geez louise Sam! It would be funny to see you in real life, you'd be so ickle !![]()
