Im stuck with maths!!

This is gonna sound weird, but I'll try and explain it as best I can... I need to work out averages.

Say for example I had a bag of different coloured sweets. You don't need to know how many of each. I reach into the bag 5,304 times. Out of those times, I picked up a red sweet 3,402 times.

I can easily work out the percentage with (3,402/5,304)x100. However I want to work out, on average how many times will I pick out a red sweet if I try another 100 times.

Then again for every 1,000 times. And every 10,000 times. So sort of on average every 100 picks, I get the red sweet .. times.

Just multiply (3402/5204) by whatever number you wanted the average for.

On average as far as you know you'll get the red sweet 64.1 times. Percent literately means number of times out of a hundred and can be treated as the average.

A good way to remember your last point is that percent, is literally per cent. Per 100 (think of a century)

So there's a 64.14% chance of picking a red.

So then its simple.. find 64.14% of 100 (which is 64.14) of 1000 (641.4) and of 10000 (6414).
