No one in my family has been to university apart from me but they still have pretty decent jobs and I dont think a degree was important to their jobs back then

both went to same uni then my mum stayed on to do a masters.
My dad did commerce in Uni, and my mum went to teacher's college but she didn't finish it. She either left or failed I'm not sure ;P
Well, my mother dropped out her first year in high school due to illness, my dad completed high school, got a factory job, and we're doing pretty well on our own. They both seem to have a HUGE interest in my life, and want the best for me, so their both all for me going to college.
So, I have, and I haven't, had an experience like yours.
I've never really asked my dad about his past or what he does etc. I know of his job, and that he's done well in life, but don't really understand...
I researched him (yes I researched about my own dad LOL) and found out so much about him, kinda makes me want to work harder to achieve what he has in life.
He went to London Business School and has been manager of logistics at Glaxo, an OD at Glaxo, and is now an HR Director at a global charity. He's also a consultant and is a member of the Institute of Directors and the CIPD.

My mum went college when I was like 13. As I don't think university was necessary for accounting.
both parents didn't, i (was/will be) the first in my family to go to uni.
