At 15-16 teenagers are far more aware of sex than a 13 year old. They will know perfectly well the dangers of using chat services such as MSN; or at least they should. Their every move should not be monitored, that gives the impression of a lack of trust. But you should be checking up on your childs online activities when they're at a young age. I've been following live tweets, some parents are flipping out, whilst others are commenting that parents are not putting enough of their own moderation onto the child. Everyone is aware of the dangers of all online chats, this doesn't just stop at Habbo.
My views are representativeness of me, they have no affiliation with Sulake.
A very good tweet on this issue:
@Xepsjonell@Channel4News Responsibility for kids online lies with the parents. Habbo is a hangout for creative teens, not children. #c4news@PaulLaFo
