They did not just inform us about a self-harm report and show an image of the habbo homepage? Wow ok.

As I keep saying Habbo is being used as an example but they are only briefly mentioning other sites. The women on the TV is actually talking sense - saying parents need to keep an eye on what children are doing - The thing is think about one of those adult sites that children could sign up to and get access to - my point there being parents need to keep an eye on young children's online activities.Indeed, they're completely deluded with dangerously devoted loyalty. Some of them are saying "you should go pretend you're an 11 year old elsewhere" and then going on to blame the parents. The words "duty of care" do not exist to these people! And they're forgetting that 11 year olds do join Habbo because there's no way they can determine the age of their users. It's so stupid it's laughable!
They're also saying it happens to other sites like Facebook - yet the two sites are completely different. Facebook doesn't have a "chat to anyone in real-time" system, and it is easy to moderate. Habbo cannot moderate itself with ease because they do not keep detailed logs which they can refer to either by a human or through a system which can pick up irregular behaviour. One security firm in one of the C4 articles has wondered why Habbo isn't in the 21st Century with these security tools. Plus Habbo has a record now of bad safety and security for under aged users. Two paedophiles in the space of 6 months is incredibly bad
EU: Improve moderation or we will shut you down

Yeah Habbo is meant for children but I bet it's not the only site aimed for children that gets abused
Channel 4 can **** off ;/
More reports regarding cyber bullying including Habbo tomorrow with a girl clearly shown to be on Habbo on her laptop and then talking about making herself ill because of the bullying.
Oh dear!!
