    OMG LOL I remember that..

I don't think there's anything wrong with having "Gay rooms" where people of different sexualities can talk about issues and what not, but it's just when things turn nasty and malicious and you get strip clubs and bed rooms popping up and becoming the most popular rooms.

Sorry probably badly worded, not against rooms encouraging similar minded teens to chat, it was just that particular room got a little out of hand sometimes. I suppose it supports my point that because there were so few rooms made with the purpose of cyber as we shut them down it was easy to monitor Landa's and pick out troublesome behaviour from a sincere discussion.

it makes me wonder what ideas they actually come up in these meetings, i really hope they did come up with that idea of age restricting rooms before they were told by a habbo, i'm sure it would have been one of the main things people would have thought of considering the recent goings on.

I think the most troublesome room in 2005 was Newsbox, not because of cybering but because of the large amount of trolls it attracted, close second was Landa's Gay Girl Bar, but that was nothing if you compare it to the popular rooms list on recent Habbo. By closing the rooms Habbos who cybered were driven to empty rooms/smaller rooms and the behaviour was a lot easier to flag and stop. An age limit would just continue to allow the type of behaviour to flourish, it would almost seem as if Habbo was endorsing it. So you want to engage in illicit online behaviour? Go to Habbo they let you put an age limit on your room! Would not be a good PR move.
Yeah, and users would once again, be able to fake their age to experience this. They should be promoting BobbaBar for users who are trying to engage in sexual activity and just completely wipe out dating/kissing/cybering rooms imo.

Age restricting rooms? I don't get it. People can easily lie about their age :S Should be deleting inappropriate rooms, not putting a bloody age restriction on them.

yes they should, but still it is a good idea considering whats going on, people can lie about their age but it will hold habbo less responsible if it's the childs fault for lying about their age when they sign up.

If they want to stop people under 13 accessing the site, make it so that if they enter a d.o.b under the age of 13 then they cannot register again on that IP. That should work!

Totally 100000% agree with this. Inappropriate rooms shouldn't even be allowed on a site where kids as young as 13 are involved.

bit harsh to ban them for life, what if it was a misclick? most sites now ban people from registering for a few hours or a day.
