Actually it's only been two weeks today. But given Paul has made out we could be muted for many more weeks; yes, I can see us being silent for at least a whole month. I can't see much of a community remaining after that.
People who use Habbo will use it, people who don't would be the ones that have gone to other sites because they like to cause the issues.
Simples.
Not really true. I love playing on Habbo but I'm getting frustrated now and I can see why so many others already have. That said, I'm still logging in everyday and I'll definitely be on again full time (by that I mean as much as I was before the mute) once the mute is lifted, it's just annoying having this mute and I'm getting angry and upset that I can't play at the moment, as I'm sure many others are, and already have, too. It's made worse by the fact that other hotels have been unmuted and we haven't. There's no reason they couldn't unmute .com right now with the limited chat. It's not gonna open them up to paedophiles considering there's a list of ALLOWED words. They wouldn't even really need to moderate with the whitelist on to be honest as so many words can't be used. It would just be nice if they gave us the limited chat (even if it is awfully limited) whilst they sort out the things to follow. At least then we could communicate in some way.
Habbo.com will be last to be unmuted because we're the hotel Channel 4 and the British media will report on once new features are implemented. I'm guessing they want to do test runs on the Hotels where sexual behaviour wasn't as big an issue, so that things will run smoothly when the spotlight is back on.Not really true. Oh yes, I guessed at this myself as soon as we found out the unmutes would happen one hotel at a time. As you say, the media aren't interested in the other hotels; just .com. What's frustrating though is that there's no reason they couldn't unmute .com right now with the limited chat. Afterall, it's a list of words we're allowed to say, blocking anything not included on the list. I don't see why they can't give that to all the hotels now that they've had time to test it on Finland; provided there's no bugs in the system it's a filter which will obviously work. There's no reason they couldn't unmute us now with the strict filter (giving us at least some way to communicate, however limited/restricted then continue to test the other features on the other hotels. The fact we won't be unmuted with even the filter until the Guardian system is ready, and Paul has said that could take a few weeks, is just ridiculous. His reason for doing every other hotel first is based on the fact most of the staff don't have very good English. Then, when he is tweeted saying that they should have more English native language speakers for the .com hotel, he says they have plenty. He seems to be contradicting himself there. Infact, he seems to contradict himself a lot.Habbo.com will be last to be unmuted because we're the hotel Channel 4 and the British media will report on once new features are implemented. One step forward, the code from that chat box is now gone.
i will never fail to be baffled by people sitting in a chatroom they can't even chat in. holy jesus.
