I think they'll just remove the coins and unban to be honest, otherwise they would of already perm banned everybody.

Normally a ban to investigate things results in almost everyone being unbanned in due course. Just wait it out.

I assume they've banned anyone that has bought gold bars within the last X hours, then they'll investigate each accounts transactions and ban anyone that kept purchasing and redeeming.

It wouldn't really surprise me if they did this on purpose, they've made 'mistakes' like this before multiple times.
Anyone who is looking for Sulake to rollback on this will be greatly disappointed. This is likely to bring returning interest in Habbo as people will return to trade pushing up the amount of users logging on and playing.
