I'm after a cheap media centre mainly just to stream the Sunderland away matches from the Internet onto my tv! Also capable of playing DVDs would be a bonus.
None of the laptops in the house actually have hdmi outputs, and the tv in the living room doesn't have VGA! Just hdmi.
I was thinking something like a mac mini but think that's a little out of my budget. Just something really cheap and basic will do, even second hand!

Get a VGA to HDMI converter, saves money.

For a good one that works decent you are looking at £50+ Just for the converter.
