First things first, that was an unmitigated disaster.
Now let's put it in perspective. The first week (or two) of the season is usually the time you see whopping defeats by many goals. This is usually the experienced, overly talented squads (Chelsea, United, etc.) beating down on the lower clubs who are still figuring things out. The lower clubs are much more likely to have new players, managers, tactics, etc.
LFC HAVE a new manager, a load of new players, and wholly different tactics. LFC have thetalent, but they are more like a low/mid table team at the start of the season. The talent means that things can get better, quickly. Remember Arsenal's abysmal start last year--they finished fourth.
Again, disaster. Oh wow, what a disaster.

Unlucky.
Good result for us. In fairness, Arsenal were extremely poor in the final third, and we just defended for the whole of the second half. Our defence was extremely solid though, new signing Cuellar was outstanding, and so was John O'Shea and Lee Cattermole. Get another striker signed and a right midfielder and we'll be laughing!
Yeah. Arsenal was really poor in the final third. I also agree Cuellar was doing brilliant.Unlucky.
