    Unhappy I'm scared

I have to go to hospital later or tomorrow to have an 'urgent' x-ray on my hips done and some blood tests taken. i'm not too bothered about the x-ray but i hate hate hate hate hate HATE blood tests.
the doctor gave me some cream that they give to kids to numb the area so hopefully i don't feel a thing. i'm a wimp.

Don't worry about it, just stay calm, look away, and think of something beautiful or happy to distract yourself, and you won't feel a thing.

Just look the other way, make sure to relax your muscles 'cause tense muscles make it hurt so much more and maybe sing songs "loudly" in your head? That's what I do anyway...

Thinking about it is the worst thing you can do. Just try and take your mind of it and relax, I'm sure it will be fine!

I used to have a lot of blood tests when I was younger and the nurses used to distract me by talking to me and that way I was usually unaware that they were taking blood. Try not to think about it, stay calm and try talking to someone while your blood is being taken and that might just distract you.

You'll be fine Just try think of something happy when they are going to take your blood or look at something distracting to take your mind of things! It should all be good!

You'll be fine. I hate blood tests + I was fine Sorry to be a pain but the cream doesn't really work like you want it to. My veins weren't really big enough and they missed the needle twice and that was horrible. Hope it all goes well though - live to tell the tale. xx

    superhappy.
