It could help but I don't think it will happen. I thought Habbo didn't like casinos. So fan sites shouldn't promote. (I might be wrong)

i used to put the names of my favourite singers here... then i realised nobody cared
Interaction on the hotel will bring in numbers but we need to get people to tune in first. Only a few months back I did win 100 rares on habboxlive, the room was max'd out, everyone was having fun, felt like the older days. I don't think we should focus on making casinos to draw in listeners, it's a casino, people who bet go to bet not tune into a radio station. I was thinking we could all chip in to our own rooms and in a 10 hour span we could do '10 hours, 1000 rares' every hour we give away one room of 100 rares. People say constant competitions isn't the way to get listeners, I don't believe that. I believe if we host constant competitions with high standards of djing within those shows, the numbers will raise. If I was told I could win 100 rares I'd tune into habbox for the rares but if the djing was low standard and boring, I wouldn't be coming back. There's no point in us hosting tonnes of competitions if our djing isn't up to standard.
Not sure who's taking over habboxlive but when someone does I hope they try something like a 2 week trial of something like radio scripts. It doesn't have to contain word for word but know what you're going to say, I go on sometimes and talk out of my arse because I haven't planned anything. I don't think people tune in to hear a teenager telling them what song was just played. We need some structure. I noticed since Logan left a lot of people seem to be going into their childish ways and unbooking slots. I hope management are keeping an eye on this, each dj has to pre-book a minimum of 2 slots a week.

didnt --mad-- use to own a casino for habbox, it was awful ugly lol
See that's why i want to try and get these events going and a giveaway every month, including the event i'm doing 23rd september, 24 hour give-aways, on air comps through the hour not just for ten minutes. I don't think there should be a set script but maybe something like a list or bullet points of all the things that should/could be mentioned. When Smurf brought the casino idea forward to me I did think yeah its a good idea but it could have implications but at the same time you would hope that they may want to tune in. And thankfully GM are taking over and Mike has already asked me about the warnings etc. so I know for sure it will be watched.Interaction on the hotel will bring in numbers but we need to get people to tune in first. “You don’t forget the face of the person who was your last hope.”
The answer isn't to make a casino like @Yet; said, it's to try and improve the quality of the DJs.
Having planned shows that have been listed in this thread seems to be one of the main ways to go. We also need the interaction on Habbo to grab any new potential listeners and users of the Habbox fansite. This can be definitely done without going into rooms and spamming the URL of our websites. I like the idea of chipping in for other peoples events/giveaways. I probably have some stuff that I could donate towards those as well.
Now onto the casino idea... I remember this was suggested in the past within the past 12 months or so? Wasn't connected to HabboxLive though and I do believe we said no for valid reasons that we didn't want to be held responsible for anything that happens within that room.
In terms of Twitter and Facebook - That won't be a problem. If you want a specific thing being posted onto those then just give us a shout.I really like the idea of having a few shows back in place, hopefully it would give the HxL a bit of structure. At the moment, a listener coming to the site wouldn't really know what to expect at a certain time, you just get what's played for you. A few genre specific (Indie Hour, Rock on Wednesdays etc.) or themed shows (like chat, quizzes etc.) would attract the right listeners at the right times, especially as they'd expect their favourite show at its usual time.
The only other thing I'd chip in is a bit of a stronger social presence. I know Habbox has a twitter, and the station even has its own Facebook page but that's never utilised any more. We could net a few listeners from Facebook who are a bit bored with a simple post "Hey! It's Happy Hour, where your requests control the show" or whatever. I'd love to see us reach out a bit more on the networks.
Now who is managing HabboxLive? At the moment it will be managed by Inseriousity. who is dealing with the community side of things while I manage the technical parts of HabboxLive. Although it's not really that technical but Mike said he doesn't like doing that or have a clue. This will be until we have decided who is fit enough to manage the department into the future.
