The Police aren't letting anything on, they must have some pretty hard evidence to charge him that we don't know. Because they haven't found her body so to use we can't understand how you can accuse someone of murder without hard evidence, plus it sort of is a risky move because in the EXTREMELY unlikely case they find her alive, he won't be getting a fair trial regardless, which everyone is entitled too.

Nonetheless, they must have something they haven't told us and if they really believe that then he can rot in hell for all I care.

Unfortunately this story had the worst ending, the searches are off and he's been charged with murder. So yeah, RIP April.
