Default Christmas VIP Charity Nominations 2012

As you may or may not know, Habbox sponsors a Charity ever year during the Christmas period. During this period, all of the takings from the sale of the Christmas VIP go towards that charity. #

It's that time of year where we ask you to nominate the charity Habbox should should sponsor this year. Please reply to this thread with your nomination and why it should be supported. The nominations will run over the next few weeks and the charity with the most support at the end will be our Christmas Charity VIP.

Thanks to everyone who replies to the thread!

Are we still doing it whereby we can't sponsor someone we've already done before?

The Scout Association. At the moment they've had far too many cuts and many kids don't have access.

    or

    Save the Children

part of me thinks that as a fansite mainly aimed at children it should be a childrens charity. Not NSPCC or GOSH because they've been done before iirc.

Dogs Trust, RSPCA or RSPB from me. If I had to pick 1 of them overall... RSPCA. I think it'd be nice to see an animal charity this year receive the donations (not that humans aren't important of course...)

NSPCC was donated 2009, can't see GOSH (if you mean Great Ormand Street Hospital) being donated to in the past.

    Or do you mean elected?

donated to, yes. i'm not going to share my particular views on those 2 charities but i don't like the idea of donating to one of the biggest ones - there are underfunded charities all over the world. Why feed the corporate beasts (cos they act like companies not charities now)
