Facepalm. You can't be that hurt by it considering you are on the server, so let's just leave it at that?

I stopped coming on because others stopped coming on and I had work to do irl, nothing to do with the map. Infact there was plenty to do, and I wanted to help finish that cruise ship but I didn't have building rights to that area.

You're just one person and that's just one reason. Why do you think everyone else stopped? The cruise ship was my project with the help of a few others.

I wouldn't have come back if we still had the old map. Was fed up of it.

I don't see why you had to do that. Is that because you was refused creative mode or something? Adam offered you op to be able to get your stuff back if you wanted it.

Not that reason alone, the biggest reason was that there was no announcement or consultation. The old map wasn't even that full at all. Not being offered creative is just the final nail in the coffin. What's the point in survival mode when you have several chosen members making massive structures and flying about. For me it's one or the other, not both.
Had my inventory and storage containers from the previous map been salvageable I'd have been more likely to stay, because I built those up using survival, but being told that you have to start from scratch is what takes the piss.
