Personally I vote for GOSH (Great Ormand Street Hospital) I personally have had a life-saving operation there as a child and I have never had the chance to thank them, this would be a great way of doing so,

    Many thanks!

The world should focus less on animals and more on other people. Have sensible charities up that support homeless/ poor countries / cyber bullying/ ones that can reflect back to us that mean something
throwing my opinion out there, as many others have. 'why would you want to give it on an animal?' personally, i would love to spend my money on animals if it meant they'd have a secure, safe place to live where they'd be fed and looked after properly because i view them as equal to humans (obviously many people have a different view on this) as they feel pain, hunger, etc etc just as we do. i agree, i also think that all animals are the same and shouldn't be treated differently and why can't there be more charities for animals like cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chicken and fish. we're all very much entitled to our opinions but i must say i very much disagree with 'the world should focus less on animals and more on other people.' and you're basically saying that charities for homeless/poor countries/cyber bullying are much more sensible, important and should be higher priority than animal charities? ...omg okay, well like i said everyone is very much entitled to their opinion :S

Helping children is giving them a better future, they can say what they want and need; we are making their life more worthwhile and longer in some cases.
money can go to animals in lots of different ways for example, ensuring they have a safe, secure place to live where they're properly looked after and fed which is what most people would want for humans so why not animals too? i can't even believe you're using the fact that animals can't talk as a reason for why you think money is wasted on animals because many charities support people who cannot talk, see, or hear and sometimes they can't tell doctors what they want or need so does that mean the money is wasted on them? in the long run humans die eventually and obviously animals have a shorter life span but that doesn't mean money can't be given to ensure their shorter life isn't as comfortable as ours may be. yes helping children may give them a better future but i still don't understand why you're saying they can say what they want or need because they doesn't matter at all, are you saying that the children that can't say what they want or need shouldn't have money given to them because it's wasted or? in some cases giving money to animals makes their life more worthwhile and longer too i see what you're saying though sam, we both just have differently opinions and that's fine, just wanted a different opinon here because it seems it's mostly dominated by this type of opinion.

I would love to see it go to a tiny charity somewhere local, that does great work - as plenty of others have said. I'm sure it'd make the world of difference to them.

    Stand Up To Cancer
    ABOUT STAND UP TO CANCER

Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK have joined forces to launch Stand Up To Cancer in the UK.

We’re calling on the nation to join the brightest stars in entertainment, to work together to raise money to accelerate cancer research. So we can bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

It’s a critical time. We have the knowhow to make rapid advances in the treatment and prevention of cancer. We just need more money. That’s where Stand Up To Cancer comes in, by raising funds to turn breakthroughs in the lab into breakthroughs in our hospitals.
