Heres a video from Jamie Graham hes a friend of James Arthur, and was also in the same band before James went on the x factor.
You will notice they have the same flow. But i think Jamie can hold hes voice much stronger than James.

You just need practise and then it's easy ^ you just play without looking and get it right. Your hands/fingers get used to the movements. And yeah sounded wrong, anyway. I think he should try to make his voice stronger so we could listen it more over the guitar, other than that, I like the song.
