The Sherlock Holmes movies are pretty awesome, the BBC series (which are about movie length per episode) of "Sherlock", Sherlock Holmes in a modern day environment, is also worth watching.

Avalanche, Dante's Peak and Twister (If you're into natural disaster movies as I am )

For the girls: The Sweetest Thing, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and Hating Alison Ashley.

I think you've pretty much got the rest in your list

Films I've watched lately that I will recommend. A bit of a mixture for you, some might be mentioned:

Pontypool - A very good original zombie film set in a radio station.
American Werewolf In London - The classic werewolf film, Great Direction and great special effects/makeup
The Shinjuku Incident - Non Martial Arts Jackie Chan film where Jackie shows he can act.
Once Upon A Time In China - Great series amazing fights - Jet Li
North By Northwest - Amazing Hitchcock film. I also recommend Rope a brilliant Hitchcock film that uses just one continuous shot (or is made to look like it does).

I recommend if you like horror/crime checking out some of the films by Dario Argento - Deep Red is a great one and is first 2 films, the bird with the crystal plumage and cat o' nine tails. I also recommend his supernatural/witch film Suspira, one of the most colourful horror films and probably my favourite - it's between Suspira and the original Dawn of The Dead and Halloween.

The Royal Tenenbaums - Epic film, great cast.
Sunshine - Brilliant film by Danny Boyle, who did the amazing Opening Ceremony for the Olympics...
Silence of the Lambs - A great thriller...
Sliding Doors - A great romantic comedy...
Never Let Me Go - Another great romance with a sci fi twist
