Christmas #1 seems to mean very little these day. Dodgy #1s and Xfactor saw to it that there would be no decent songs reach that place so it's lost a lot of prestige.

This song sucks for one simple fact - Paul McCartney got involved. The man can't sing any more and he looks like a shaved scrotum... and it's only "good" because it has something to do with Hillsborough and these sorts of songs seem a little... desperate.

I agree that Christmas Number 1's don't mean anything anymore, and I miss the times when a Christmas song actually took the number one spot. But nevertheless, a nice way to raise money, and good to see it shift so many copies Not a fan of the song myself though.

Am I the only one that likes this?

To be fair, anything that gets to xmas #1 that isn't xfactor, I'll enjoy for a week,

don't like it, but obviously support the cause and therefore glad it's number 1. don't the sales from the x-factor single go towards charity aswell? i may be wrong, but if they do, everyone is a winner.

plus, christmas number 1 hasn't meant much really as there hasn't been a lot of christmas-themed number 1 songs since the 80s, so the whole 'christmas number one' thing is so overrated.

Dont even like the song tbh lol.

and yeah they do all the money from the X Factor song also goes to charity a far better charity if you ask me. not to mention David Cameron got tax removed from the song.

Also James Arthur was asking on hes twitter for people to buy the other song just a heads up ^^
