Stack Betting?

Have any of you tried stack betting? If so, post your successes here.


Personally I have tried this method after being told about it by a good friend who helped me after I lost a lot of profit.

At the start it went well but I ended up doing it wrong and lost about 280c!

For anyone who doesn't know, here's a quick explanation of the method:
(This is assuming you start out with around 10-15c)

1. Bet 1 coin
2. If you win the bet, bet another coin. Keep betting 1c until you loose.
3. When you loose, bet 2c. If you win the 2c bet go back to betting 1c. This means you will win 4c, making back the 2c you just bet, the 1c you lost before and 1c profit!
4. If you loose the 2c bet, do 4c. This ensures you make all of your profit back.

Essentially, everytime you loose a bet just double what you bet before to make profit back. This can be bad if you loose many times in a row though.


Originally I was just told to bet 1c, 2c, 3c, 4c etc but I found that this made me no profit and resulted in a huge loss.

Yeah people have spoken about this before, and when I used to deal in booths I'd occasionally have people doing it against me . I've rarely used it though just because if you lose a lot (I've always been unlucky when it comes to casinos :/) then you could quickly be betting very large amounts and soon have nothing, which is what happened to me once. If you bet small amounts though, like 1-5c start, and you know the dealer is safe then I don't see why not as you're guaranteed to make a profit .

You guys are all wrong, this is a very poor method and only works with an infinite casino and infinite money. There's a mathematical proof of this where you will always make a loss unless you have infinite money, which is of course impossible. In your case if you only have 10 credits, you are screwed if you lose the 4 credit bet as you have already lost 7 credits at that point and only have 3 credits left. Thats just from losing 3 bets in a row, which is quite.likely. Plus each time you risk this method, you are only getting 1 credit profit per win, a very small turn out. Will take 10 wins just.to double your 10 credits. A very bad method...

I made a decent amount doing this with gold bars yesterday. Started with 9 ended with 17, however I did end up loosing everything :\

Which proves my point, if you keep using this method you will lose everything.

this is the silliest method I have ever seen and seems to be the reason why most gamblers end up losing everything regardless of how much they might have won before then. my advice to 'get a few coins in your pocket' would be to become a merchant rather than gamble. There are quite a few featured articles on merching on the habbox news page by the assistant manager when she worked in rare values (@Janice; ) so that would be a good place to look.

What Kardan said is obvious in my opinion, and why I said that you have to make a decision as to what you'll start off with in the beginning based on what you already have - if you lose a few bets in a row then you'll soon be betting 5-10x what you started off doing and it could keep increasing if your luck isn't so good . Never bet what you can't afford to lose, and if using this method then just be sure to think before you begin .

Definitely, but sometimes it can take a while to make a profit this way and with betting there's the factor of fun, and if you're lucky then it's a lot quicker to increase your creds . I used to use a bit of both, which worked well for me - then that's when they had to merge the hotels and I happened to have most of the items that were then worth nothing because of it ..

Yea this method doesn't rly work that well unless u have a very large starting base that will take A LOT of bets to drain with this method. Also the key thing with it is that you bet double even when you win if you want to make money from it and just stop at an appropriate amount on a win.

Anyway onto kyles point if you know how to merch very well the only thing I can think of that can make money quicker is super cino "elité" really, or those who have mates who bet them a lot of gbs. Anyway indeed I do have quite a lot of info about it, I also copied most of the articles to the below link where another one of my guides is though, however I think there was one more missing? ;p
