I think that the forum just hasn't kept up with the times. It's always been conservative in comparison to others, others including ClubHabbo and look what happened to that, so it might not be a bad thing. It is a problem with Habbox though because some forums are thriving.
I agree with adECW entirely and maybe that is the issue here - the Forum Manager dismisses any change. You receive a PM or VM and no matter if it is done in a friendly tone - it puts you off, that's for sure. In this thread I've seen the General Manager and Forum Manager taking the piss / criticising (not constructively) new ideas. Sort that out and make your users feel involved and you're half way there.
That's a nice idea to try and persuade new members to stick around. It would encourage people to make new accounts (when they already have one) if the prizes are really good, though.
It could be the process of say, the competition prizes we have now but instead of the rep on the VIP one you could have Credits?
What about something like a daily prize. Be able to win a prize (small time vip, rep, awards etc.) however you can only have 1 go a day
Could then have something like a minimum requirement to be able to have a go, such as 1 post.
There must be a plugin somewhere similar to this
It's always been the same, nothing will change, no matter who is at the helm.I agree with adECW entirely and maybe that is the issue here - the Forum Manager dismisses any change.
