To those opposing the word count part of it, I don't think long posts will be an issue at all - someone would need to post over 500 words in one post for it to get the same amount of tokens as 2 posts of "ye lol"

Yeah, just a nice little way to "introduce" people to the rewards.

Only thing is, you would have to stop people asking for it 100 times or something haha

Rep points should be an option I think.

Make it so 3 days vip is more expensive to buy (e.g if i wanted to buy it 10x) to make 30 days. It would be more expensive than 1 month VIP

Seems like an interesting idea, it'll spur newer members on more than older ones like me - the days of me racing to hit certain posting targets are long over. So absolutely, this to me seems a much better idea of having people create longer more detailed threads/posts than the hated idea of limiting what kind if posts/threads go towards your post count.

As for what Ross mentioned, hm it depends. Although I might sometimes do longer posts, you have to bare in mind that people who do longer posts will usually post less than those who do shorter posts - meaning there would be little difference.

I'm interested to see it in action anywho.

On one of the points system if i remember you could mess with other peoples stuff for creds, e.g I could remove @Chris; avatar for 200 points etc... seemed cool. not that it'd work on this forum

Why should I be imagining people who make longer posts as naked? Sorry, pet peeve. I agree with the point as a whole though. No harm in keeping it, in fact I'd be tempted to buff it.

Word count is probably too weak if anything.

And if people are complaining that VIP prices are too low, you can get 1 week of VIP each week for 100 posts, which would equate to 500 points per week. So for 2 weeks to be at 2,000 tokens - that's actually 2x harder than the weekly poster VIP.

I think the referral reward is probably a bit high, but it's probably best to see how it goes for a week before making any changes. I don't imagine it would get used much.

I'd boost the word count to 0.1 per word probably. And I haven't got a clue for what other prizes you could have

Ahh, small idea. We have the special VIP colours, perhaps you could add extras, like shadow, sparkles for an extra 1000t or something?

The extras to VIP is a great idea - maybe make it something only donors can upgrade with?

Referral reward is good I think - as that is simply what keeps the forum going.
