This has happened more than once to me, but these boxes appear from nowhere? Just randomly appear whilst im in a room?

It's the standard notification popup, could be because you got duckets.

This was back when Pixels were here, when you received some you'd get that box. With Pixels running off a similar format to Duckets I believe it could be for that.

It also comes up when someone scratches your pet and you are not in the room. So it may be that?!
